is my cat pregnant
Question: hey just wondering if my 10 mth old cat is pregnant. I also have a male cat that is about 12 mts old and there behaviour was always playfull and loving untill recently the female was on heat, now their relationship that there not ataying in the same room as each other while the male cat is seeking attention the female is distant towards him making the male act depressive refusing to be in the same room. Is this a normall behaviour after the mating season? does this mean that my cat might be pregnant? its only been a week since she started heat, anyways if anyone has an answer to this please post it, love to hear your comment Answer: Anytime you have an unneutered male and an unspayed female (in heat, no less) together, there is always the possibility of a pregnancy. If your female is still in heat, be especially careful of her trying to escape from the house. Do not let her outdoors, because she will head for the nearest male to mate. Is there a reason you have not had your cats neutered and spayed? It is much, much better for the cats' long-term health and behavior to do so. Unspayed females are more susceptible to certain cancers, and intact males often spray to mark their territory and may become aggressive. If you have been planning to and just hadn't gotten around to it, now would be the time. Even if the female is pregnant, it can still be done.
