Kringle came in smelling like urine today, has anyone dealt with this before? We let him out during the day and he comes in if we're home to eat/nap, then he always comes in at night to sleep. But today he smelled like urine when he came in for the night and his coat was messy. Anyone know what kind of trouble he managed to get into?

Could have been a scuffle with another cat that sprayed him.

Either that or he got scared and peed on himself. My cat once peed on himself when he thought he was in trouble so that could definitely be it. I think kitty needs a shower if he does really stink like it

Yes, when there's a cat fight, it's quite common for one or both of the cats to involuntarily eliminate, usually urine, but sometimes feces, too. It's usually the less agressive cat (the 'loser'), though, who ends up doing it.
