we're trying to get our cat to switch from kitten food to adult, but he won't eat the adult food. any tricks to get him to eat the food? he just looks at it and licks it, doesn't really chew it at all. he's ten months old now.

Kitten food is very tasty! Are you mixing them together? If not, I'd do a 75% kitten with 25% adult and slowly add more adult over a couple of weeks. If that doesn't work try a different adult food (still mix it). Maybe she just doesn't like the new food.
