Hair loss
Question: My cat has lost a small section of hair on her tail. There are no bumps, bite marks anything, it looks like somebody shaved her because the hair is already starting to grow back and feels like stuble. I am going to change her diet to Nutro, per some advice from her groomer, but I am am worried and wondered if any one else has experienced any similar problems, thanks Answer: My cat had something like that-it was not ringworm but they treated it like it was ringworm (with an antifungal) and he did better right away. His hair loss was on his tail and then moved to his toes. The skin did feel a little scaly where the hair had either fallen or been pulled out. Answer: If your cat has access to other cats or the outdoors, it most likely was a bite abscess that ruptured and drained; you are just seeing the healing process. If an indoor, single cat, your vet is the one who needs to give you a diagnosis.
