great guys thanks! After reading this, I did them last night. He didn't like it AT ALL! (then agian, Nya hates it too...) hopefully since he's a kitten, it will get easier as he gets used to it.

The more you play with their paws and pads when they are kittens, the easier it is for them to trust you with their "weapons" when they get older. Keep working at it, and when they are lounging close by, reach over and smoosh and rub their paws between your fingers. They'll get used to it.
