Um, my cat Shadow Blade has worms, any thing I need to do? I'm trying to get my parents to take her to a vet but they haven't. I've been wanting a check up done to her to make sure she's healthy but nope...we've been giving her over the counter medicines and it concerns me cuz she sleeps with me. Whenever a dog gets wormst hey take medicineand are ok, but this medicine isn't working on her. I'm also concerned cuz she's like a sibling almost to me and I wouldn't want her to die from worms but she's eating and drinking normally, I can tell cuz she drives me nuts when her food bowl is empty.

Answer:
You need to know the type of worm before you can treat it. Roundworms & Hookworms are the worst, but they can be treated with Revolution. Tapeworms can be treated with Droncit.
They sell Revolution and Droncit at www.petmeds.com for really cheap, but make sure you know which type of worm it is before you treat it.

Answer:
Call the vet and take in a fresh sample of poop. They will look at it under the mircroscope to see if they can find eggs or worms.
