Question:
Hey guys I posted earlier that Kahlua's pees really really smelt - and they still do, and she also had a strong odor on her. I called the vet and she said that it was probably just because she wasnt drinking enough - and suggested a water fountian so we bought one of those last nite. I went to change the litter box this morning and her pees are small and theres alot and they also very yellow.. what should i do? Shes also been pretty agressive these days and meowing alot im not sure if i should take her in.. i mean I WANT to because if there is something wrong id want to catch it now but im not sure.. does this sound like a UTI?

I don't know anything about these symptoms but if in doubt, I'd take her into the vet. If anything else it will make you feel better that there is nothing wrong or if there is, that it can be taken care of so that your cat is in no discomfort. If her behavior has changed lately then I would be suspect that she might be in discomfort of some sort.

Small pees are not normal. You do need to take her in for a physical exam, bloodwork and urinalysis. A thorough exam would also include an X-ray of the kidneys and the bladder.
If she doesn't have a full bladder when you get to the vet, your vet will want to keep your cat in the hospital for a few hours until they can get a sterile sample for the urinalysis.
(Bloodwork is important for several reasons, especially to see how well the kidneys are functioning).

thanks guys .. we're goin to the vet at 3 today, so in about 2 hours. This morning i knew i had to take her in and things were just not right. I was doing my hair in the bathroom (we have the litter box in the bathroom) and she came meowing in and peed kinda standing up and shaking and barly anything came out and definatly didnt go in the litter box. So i called the vet right away, and she said that she definatly needs to come in and to make sure that shes locked up in her cage from 12:30 till she comes in (so she'll have a full bladder- hopefully) i havent locked her up yet just because shes passed out on my bed, but im keepin an eye on her - when she wakes up ill put her in her cage - but i figure ill let her sleep in peace and quiet before she has her trip to the vet
I just hope shes ok and nothing is too serious
