Question-shivering in cat
Question: My 9 month old kitten has been shivering a few times over the last two days. The first time it happened was yesterday when I had a bunch of friends over and I think she was scared of them. She was shivering as I was holding her for them to see her. Then today we were laying in bed and she was purring some and then shivering. She has no other symptoms and seems find otherwise. Any ideas? Answer: I don't really know what that could be. I saw that no one has answered you and I hate it when that happens. I guess if I had a cat that was shivering I would take him/her to the vet if there was no logical explanation. Have you searched Google for that particular symptom? I have real good luck with that. Good luck! I hope your kitty stops shivering! Give him/her lots of love! Answer: Shivering can be a response to fear or a way for the body to warm up. In humans, shivering can be a sign that the body temperature is on the way - the effort of shivering raises the body temperature. Was the room cold? Is your cat running a temperature? Answer: She hasn't been shimering anymore...it was weird. It just happened those two times. She has no temp. It is freezing here is Mi, so maybe that was it! Answer: Well, I'm glad kitty is doing better. Just cozy up with her as much as you can............That's one of the best thing's about having a cat! Answer: Quote: I saw that no one has answered you and I hate it when that happens Hehe, it had only been a couple hours. No biggie. Was your kitten sleeping when it was shivering? I know when cats sleep they dream and shiver. Actually, it's more of a few twitches off and on. Thank you, Doodlebug! Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.tendlife.com
