Recommendations for quality canned foods

Question:
I've recently been converted from dry food to canned food for my cats, and I have seen a dramatic difference in the few weeks I have been feeding canned.
The problem is that I have been feeding Eagle Pack, and although it is very good, it's destroying my budget. I am currently out of work, and can not afford to keep buying a case every other week.
I've searched the forum for recommendations of other quality canned foods that might not be quite as expensive, but I must be using the wrong search terms because I am drawing blanks every time.
Can you guys recommend a good quality food that isn't quite as expensive?
Answer:
My suggestion is to find a food that you can get in the big 12-13 ounce cans, as its significantly cheaper. I've noticed that most of the good brands seem to come only in smaller cans, but I've managed to find Wellness, Innova, and Felidae in large cans. My cats are eating Wellness (they will only eat 2 or 3 flavors though. Price per can here is 1.59) and Innova (one flavor, price 1.30/can). They hate Felidae. You can also order food online. I believe Petfooddirect.com is the place most people buy from, and with their sales and coupon codes they're sometimes cheaper than buying locally.

Where I am, Eagle Pack is one of the cheapest of the better quality foods. Have you looked into buying bulk online? Sorry I can't help more.
Answer:
Thanks for the feedback!
I haven't checked into buying online, I'll have to look into it.
I am currebtly buying 13oz cans by the case - and they cost about $2.50 each - including the bulk discount.
When I was in NY I could buy a case of 24 (13oz) cans of Felidae for $18 or $19, and these guys didn't seem to mind it.
I'll check the pricing on Innova and Wellness around here, if I can find someone who carries it... and I'll check out the online suppliers as well. Trouble is, it can be difficult to get things shipped to Canada.
Here's an example: I needed to order new nametags for the cats since I have moved. I went online to the supplier I always ordered from before, and they told me that they could ship 3 nametags to me in Canada, but the shipping charges would be $78. I ended up just buying them locally.

Answer:
Petsmart's Authority is a decent, budget friendly food. Some of the flavors (lamb and rice is the only one I can recall offhand) have no meat byproducts, and there are several rice versions that are corn/wheat free.
If you have a lot of cats, and can go through a large (12?oz) can of catfood quickly, one of the Iams flavors (liver and something) also has no byproducts and is about 1.20 for 12 ozs.

You can try this website to look at what the ingredients are in foods. I would recommend Innova, Wellnes, Nutro or Natural Balance.

i also just found out recently that Iams has reformulated a couple of their formulas (chicken entree & lamb entree i think) to contain no by-products. we're going to be giving that a try, if they like it i can keep it in our rotation.
i'm also feeding all canned, but have to watch the budget.
