New Home for Scarface!

Question:
Well, to make a long story short there was a few problems w/Stanky & the new kitten, so I gave the kitten to my mom.
She emailed me a couple of pics (which I am posting). I don't know how the cat jumped up on the washer but there he is. It looks like that's his new fav place.

I think you are right... they know that we tried in vain to get their hair out of it. And they want to claim you as theirs right? Hehe
I'm glad he found a new home.

Answer:
I'm happy he went to a relative, now we can still get pics of that cutie. Cats must know how hard it is for their hair to come out sometimes, they love warm laundry

Oh no, i am so sorry to hear he couldn't stay. That really is sad as he was such a lovely kitty. But I am glad he is with someone close so you can still visit him and get lots of photo's.
May I ask how long you have your other cat to get used to your new kitty? We have had lots of problems with Huggy and we've had him for...nearly 2 months now. At first we thought things were never going to work out but slowly things are starting to change and our girls are starting to get used to him and his behaviour is better.
I am sorry you felt it wasn't going to work out, do you think it would be worth another go after giving your other kitty a break or is this new stay going to be for good?
I know what you must of done must of been hard, because i know like us you also have to think of the cats that were here before...but i just wanted to let you know it isn't impossible and there is a light at the end of the tunnel. But I know that no mater what you know what is the right thing to do.
It looks like the new kitty has settled in well and is making a nice home for himself. I hope he continues to be happy and that you'll get to see him grow up and show us more piccies because he is a cutie!
Take care

Thanks Eva. B4 I read your post I was feeling like everyone here would think i was a wuss for giving up so early.
I have had Stanky for almost a year and had the kitten for a little over 2 weeks. Stanky is potty trained and w/in a couple days of having the kitten home Stanky stopped using the toilet. I kinda was getting stressed at having to train 2 cats to use the toilet (1 to re-train) and Stanky not cooperation at all. I even moved the kitten's potty in our bathroom to not confuse Stanky w/no luck. Stanky attitude change as well. I know the new kitten had to settle in but I didn't think that she would just stop being lovable. Since I could never get rid of Stanky I had to get let the kitten go.
I know the kitten is in a good place but I still miss it. It was only in our home for a short while but there is still some guilt that I should of tried a little longer w/both of them.
Now that the kitten is gone Stanky's attitude has went back to normal and she is now using the toilet again.

We started w/a toddler toilet and put litter inside.
Once she was comfortable w/that we started getting her to squat (which in her case we only had to get 2 legs up on the toddler toilet).
Eventually we started taking more of the litter out until there was not litter left.
We then moved the toddler toilet top on the actual toilet.
I still left the bottom on until she was comfortable getting to & using the toilet.
Then I removed the bottom of the toddler toilet and it was straight to the toilet. She was so use to having the toddler top I just left it on.
This is Stanky as a kitten:
Here was a pic of her a couple of months ago
I can't remember how long it took, we took her in July and the 1st pic of her on the toilet it has September's date.......so aprox 3-4 months until she had it down.

Answer:
Wow! Do you think if you had to board her you would take the potty with litter for her or water?

Answer:
Hopefully i will not have to board her at any time. I am going on vacation at the end of the month and I am going to have my mom check on her during that time.
I will not go back to litter. We had a problem with that when trying to teach the little kitten. She was starting to use the litter again. Once we took the kitten's box out of her area she started to go on the floor. Right now I have her back on the toilet and do not want to go back.
I also work at a janitorial & chemical company and I even thought of getting and autoflush from a company we purchase from. It would hook on the tank. The only thing that i worry about is if the sensor would detect her. So in time I might plan on getting that....I think it would be a good investment. It sounds funny but I think it would be good to get, especially if I wasn't at home to "flush" for her.
I have tried to teach her to flush w/no luck....I need to do some more reading into that though.

Do you think the auto flush would scare her? It always scares my daughter because it goes off when she isn't expecting it to... like when she is still on it!
