My darling Muffin
Question: I lost my dear cat Muffin on Friday. We took him to the vet as soon as I thought something was wrong - they told us he had fluid on his lungs and then died as a result of heart failure. One minute he was fine and then the next he was gasping for breath. I have tried to play over and over what could of caused it. The only thing I can think is that when I took my other cat Harvey to the vet the day before for his booster he caught something and passed it on to Muffin. Harvey has had a few sniffles and the vet told me there is cat flu about. Muffin Had a heart murmur too so his little heart did'nt stand a chance. I am totally devastated by this and I cannot describe the pain I feel. We have had him cremated and we are going to sprinkle them under his favourite tree where he used to play in the garden. Am also going to get a plaque made for him. My other cat is looking and pining for him. He won't use the bed he once shared and won't leave my side. It is heartbreaking to see him this way. We have both lost our best friend. Muffin was 9 yrs old and a white/tabby. He was such a little character. He used to love playing hide and seek and playing in the garden. We played with his remote control mouse together and all his other toys. He would site on the edge of the bath when I used to shower and bathe and talk to me. When I was down he would rub his little head against mine to make me feel better. He was such a loving cat and is going to be a terrible loss. Love you Muffin with all my heart, rest in peace my baby. mom, dad and Harvey xxx Answer: I am so sorry! Losing a pet can be especially difficult when it happens so fast. It sounds like Muffin had a fantastic life...and he was much loved. Take care, and know that we are here if you want to talk. Answer: I hope you can take comfort in the fact that Muffin must have loved you very much, and that he is across the Rainbow Bridge, with all the other pets that have passed along the years. He is no longer suffering any problems. I'm certain that he loved the attention you gave him, and appreciated that you tried to get him help. for Harvey, as he deals with this loss as well, and for you as well! Answer: Rest in peace Muffin. Answer: I'm totally saddened to hear about Muffin. It's wonderful that you're planning on sprinkling his ashes and getting a plaque made. I'd love to see a picture of him if you have it. I feel for you and Harvey. My husband and I lost our cat about this time last year (it was the cat Mike picked out at the shelter when he was 9; he was 25 when she died). Please don't hesitiate to send me a private message if you'd like to talk more about this sad event. It took me a very long time to get over Pixel. But it happened. Answer: hi every1 - thanks for all the good wishes - have'nt been on for a while cos it taking me a long time to get over Muffin's death. Harvey is getting better, he stills follows me around and he now makes an awful meow when he thinks I have left him - I go upstairs to bathroom or something and he cries really loud and as if in pain until he finds me. Heartbreaking to hear. He keeps going outside but checking to make sure I am still around in view. He has no little friend to go around with and I feel so sorry for him. Still cry and am still hurting - keep thinking I hear him meow for me. The house seems so empty without him running about and playing with his mouse. I just wish he would give me one of his cuddles the way he used to rub against my cheek to say hi. I know he is watching over us and is probably playing with all the other animals up there at rainbow bridge. Thanks again I appreciate it. Answer: I'm so sorry for your loss. Answer: Hepsie, I am sorry to hear about Muffin. Take your time healing. Losing a pet is devastating and it takes awhile to get over the pain. We are here for you. Answer: I'm sorry I missed this thread before - I just wanted to extend my condolences and the hope that your heart and Harvey's heart will heal soon Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.tendlife.com
