I will miss you little guy

Question:
This morning I found our small cichlid dead. For some reason, he was never able to grow and I think he had some type of a defect. We had him for a few years and during those years I became quite attached to him. He would always follow me around when he saw me and knew my face. I am going to miss seeing that little face when I look in the aquarium. Dave is very upset as well because he was quite fond of the little guy.
I know it may seem funny to mourn the loss of a fish but it is possible to become attached to these creatures.

Answer:
Sorry to hear that Denise

Answer:
I'm sorry Denise.

Answer:
Oh, Denise it's not silly. Cichlid's are very easy to get attached to. What kind of cichlid? I really loved my puffers and when they died I actually cried that night OVER A FISH. So I know how you feel and after having a fish for a while you really do get attached especially when they swim up to you and greet you. Im sorry you lost your cichlid.

Answer:
A parrot cichlid. I can't help but stand and stare at the aquarium in the hopes of him coming to greet me. Dave said he is going to get another baby for me.
Thanks for the comforting words Courtney.

Answer:
Once you get a new guy in there Im sure you will be really happy. We can get pretty attached to those little buggers.

Answer:
it is surprising how attached you can get to fish,,
parrot fish are really strange, we have 6 of them, got 4 at the same time, they were all the exact same size, now 2 of them are about 6 inches long now the other 2 are abour 2 inches...we got 2 more and they both are growing faster that all 4 of the others
Parrot fish are a mixed breed fish, so sometimes it all doesnt work out well,,,
they are gorgeous tho!!!
