Guess what I found on my deck?!?

Question:
I'm soooo excited. A lady, who was supposed to be buying my bb glider, dropped off all her stuff! She couldn't take the bb cause she's going to New Zealand. She ordered a brand new cage and two wodent wheels. I've been trying and trying to get the one wodent wheel that was mine from her and we just never connected. So, for the first time in months, my daughter and I went away for the night, and today when we came home there's two big boxes sitting on my deck. The cage box has never been opened and I can't wait to see it. I have to go out in about 20 mins and wish I didn't have to now! It's like Christmas! Ok Easter! I do have to pay for the stuff, but I will have to set up a payment plan with her, but I'm so excited to get it. I didn't know she was going to do that! She awesome! The cage is bigger than the one I have my guys in, and I've been needing a wodent wheel for a long time!

My cage is a homemade second hand big wooden heavy.....cage. It's about 4 feet wide, 4 feet high, and about 1 foot deep. But, until recently it had lots of shelves in it. Last weekend I took out the three bottom shelves on each side (there's a divider in the middle so it can actually be two separate cages). Now there's just one shelf on top of either side. My gliders could never glide in it until now. I was always scared it would loose some stability or integrity if I removed the shelves. It does seem a little less stable now but nothing that a glider could harm. Also, the back and sides are wood, so they could only see out of the front, which is two big wire doors. It sorta looks like one of those plain white entertainment centers, but with doors and a solid back. The one she dropped off, I believe is 3ft high by 2ft wide by 14inches deep. It is a real glider cage though, with two balconies. I still haven't got the box opened. Just got back from a class in Ukranian Egg Decorating. BTW, I recommend U. E. Decorating. What a blast, I just hope my hands can adjust to their new colour(s), lol. I will post pics when I get it together and decorated. My cam keeps making my pics huge kbs though, I don't know what I'm doing wrong, I don't use it much anymore??

Awesome, I'd love to see your new cage too! If you need to resize them you can email them to me and I can resize them for you (might take some time) or you can download free software to resize it, the one I use it Irfanview, you can search for it on Google.

Hi thanks, I will check out the software, I have lot's of pics to make smaller. You can see my cage on http://www.martinscages.com it's the first one under suggies. 24 by 14 by 36. My guys were out last night and they love it I think. I put it up high on the wall in the living room. Also my male figured out the wheel, I'm so excited. I don't think my female ventured inside it but they're both sure sniffy about it all. I think they like it because they were hopping around like fools in it and up and down and all around it, Kalulu my male was having a blast.

Oh, I almost forgot, I introduced the suggies to the new hamster last night. Kalulu threw a punch! It actually looked like he took a swing at her. I was careful to protect Miss Nibbs, and they were nose to nose with each other a couple times but then Kalulu threw a punch. I then introduced Miss Nibbs to Gogo, my female glider. She too was very interested in our little hammy, but I didn't let her get too close. I thought I'd be able to tell if my gliders were feeling threatened or getting mad but I guess not. They never made any sounds or cries, no hair stuck up, nothing, just appeared very interested. Miss Nibbs was very sniffy too, she seems interested but not afraid or ready to bite or anything. I don't think they'll be living in the same cage or playing together, lol. I can't tell if they'd like each other or not. I don't know if what I thought was a punch was just Kalulu touching little Miss Nibbs or if it was a punch. It was so quick it scared me, lol.

Anyway, back to the cage, I can't wait to get them up tonight, they're adorable when they're wide awake and exited about something. I don't have any decorations in it yet but I'm going to head outside here shortly and cut some chestnut tree to put in it.

Happy Easter All!

Answer:
just be careful of the hamster, gliders do catch and eat smaller rodents and a hamster might be a temptation for them to give it a try.
my girl now has a playground all to herself!! lol i will go upload the pic so you can see it.
