I was introduced to a company that makes the cutest animal puppets. The company is called Folkmanis, http://www.folkmanis.com/index.html and they have a lot of puppets of "pet" animals, wild animals and mythical animals. Here are a few that I thought that you guys would be especially interested in (I didn't include many dog and cat ones but there are a lot more of the website):
