101 Ways to Have Fun with Your Pet(s)
Question: Alright...I haven't come up with 101 ways yet but I think we could certainly do it if we all pitched in an idea. Idea #1: Lasers. As long as you don't shine it in their eyes, both dogs and cats will have a blast chasing the little red laser dot across the floor, over objects and even part way up the wall. Who's next? Answer: Idea #2- Weekend Morning 'What's that moving under the covers?' The kids and I just had a good hour's fun with Titus, Mouse, Booger, and Natalie- each of them trying to catch our wiggling toes through the blanket. Getting Booger in the same vicinity as Natalie without a war was a first- as was the fact that Booger decied Titus needs yet another mum and gave him a good washing during rest-period. Answer: Excellent thread. And welcome to the forum. Okay, Idea #3 The traditional game of fetch with a ball, frisbee, rope, Kong, or anything else that can be thrown. Answer: I agree, great idea! Idea #4 (this is for chinnies) - Save those paper grocery bags! Chinnies love to dart in and out of them at high speeds. Answer: Cats love those too! Answer: And Guinea Pigs!!! Answer: Idea #5 - My chinnies love when I take a newspaper and make a "tent" out of it. The more noise something makes, the more they tear around the room. Answer: Alex likes (liked!) to play "bite the string ties off Mom's favourite ever t-shirt". Also "swing from her housecoat tie while it's being knotted", and "help Daddy tie his shoes"! I've never done that before! Unfortunately, none of the stores around here use paper bags anymore. I'll have to pick some up at the dollar store (although I have the feeling that Buddy would just eat them and not bother going inside them). Answer: cigarette wrappers (or any other cellphane type wrapper you can crinkle up into a ball) my cat, Kit, would spend hours swatting them around back when i lived with my parents and dad was still alive...he would wad it up and throw it on the floor, and no matter where she was in the house, kit would come at a full gallop...she would play with it and then it would disappear, when i moved out i found probably 100 wadded up cigarette wrappers under my bed (never cleaned under there, i never put anything under there ) Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.tendlife.com
