Nature's Miracle

Question:
I have been looking at an old thread where members were singing the praises of Nature's Miracle. I recently bought some to try and get the smell of Sadie's poos out of the carpet. I really don't seem to have had much success. Perhaps I'm not using it correctly? Just squirt it full strength onto the offending spot and let it dry, right? Should I be really saturating the soiled areas? At this point I'm not so concerned about getting the stains out, but I would like to eliminate the smell.

Answer:
You need to really saturate the area with the Natures Miracle and blot out any of the stuff that will come up. then resaturate it again and let it dry. If it's really bad you may need to do it a few times.

Answer:
In the long run, you might be better off contacting a cleaning supply company, and buying a jug of concentrate liquid enzyme, it is exactly what Nature's Miracle consists of, except they add a deodorizer to it. Liquid enzyme can be mixed to the strength you need, and sometimes with pet stains, stronger is needed. It can also be used for other household cleaning projects, like cleaning out pipes and drains, etc. We pay $16 for a 4 litre jug, and it lasts over a year. http://www.parish-supply.com/liquid_...ifications.htm

Answer:
I should have added, liquid enzyme, as I said, comes in concentrate form, so 4 litres will make up about 50 to 75 of those little 12 oz. bottles that Mature's miracle comes in. Liquid enzyme is used in police cars, hospitals, etc., to clean up.

Answer:
Thank you so much for the hints. I'll have to ask at work about who buys our cleaning supplies, and see if our supplier carries anything like that.

Answer:
what are you using it for? i use nature's miracle on a lot of things and it works better on some than others.

I have a cat that has litter box "issues" and I need something that will take the smell of feces out of the carpet and urine out of my leather couch

Answer:
Molly, I've been reading some great things about Oxiclean getting stains and "pet smells" (quite a euphemism, wot?) out of carpets. It's available at Crappy Tire, Sobeys and Wal-Mart. I'm going to buy some at Sobeys tonight and give it a go. I'm embarrassed to admit that I've made such a mess of my hall closet carpet that when I left this morning it smelled like what I suspect a rotting corpse would smell like! I still wouldn't be surprised if I end up ripping that bit of carpet up

Answer:
i use nature's miracle and you have to absorb as much of the urine as possible first. then completely soak the area with nature's miracle and scrub hard. then spray some more on there and leave it alone. then come back when it's dry and spray some more, scrub, then a final spray. WHEW! it works, but it's not a quick fix (at least for me).
