Question:
What does everyone feel about fox hunting?. I think you would all be agaist it since we all love animals.
I am really against it as I think its so awful to kill some poor animals for sport which is such a lame excuse.
I feel the same way about fishing.

ok lets let the planet over run itself with all our animals(thats not bad) but yes fox hunting is dumb. Fishing on the other hand is awsome sport and takes awhile and you never know what you will get, it's exciting and you can catch and release unlike hunting.

catching and releasing is cruel, sorry but i feel VERY strongly about this.

how about i yank you up, force your head under water for a minute or two, then let you go about your business...that's basically what it is doing to the fish, depriving them of the ability to breath while they are out of the water. not to mention any injury incurred by the hook or other contraptions used to reel them in.

if you aren't going to eat it, and it isn't directly threatening you, don't kill it, catch it, or mess with it.

I feel exactly the same! As for the fox hunting issue well its been banned over here in the UK but its still taking place as is badger baiting and hare coursing as it seems some people are infact above the law

Hunting and fishing for sport is very wrong. If you are going to eat it (an you're not going around killing endagered species or poaching) then I can accept that.

I'm against hunting completely, but I do go fishing. If its a bigger fish, I will eat it...but if its smaller fish, I release them for spawning. I only go fishing maybe 2 - 3 times a year, and sometimes it takes hours to catch one fish... I don't believe in catching a fish to stuff it and put it on a wall as a trophy...if you aren't going to eat it, just let it go so it can reproduce and be on its way...... honestly, I really don't think I'm being evil for going fishing every once in awhile...

My thoughts:

Hunting, Fishing, Trapping for sport I believe is wrong. You are not using the animal. It's serving no TRUE use to you. You are just mounting it.

On the other hand- if you are actually eating the animal, and using the remains(for instance eating the meat, and perhaps using the fur for fur, or crafts or something) then I feel it's fine. The animals are being put to actual USE, and are serving a purpose. They are not being killed just to be mounted, but to be eaten, and then used as other things.
So do I think fox hunting is bad? If it's just for a mount and nothing else- yes. But if they are going to actually USE the animal , then no I don't think it is.

Heck I'd rather see animals hunted for food than farmed. Atleast these animals know what freedom is.
