Pit Bull Attacks Six in Illinois
Question: I found this just a few minutes ago. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20051106/...t_bull_rampage Answer: geez that's terrible..and something important to remember. dogs are pack animals, and they follow a pack heirarchy. if you have a dog, you HAVE to make sure that YOU are the alpha, you are the leader, and that dog is obedient to YOU...no matter what breed of dog it is, that is their brain, that is their instinct, that is how they live and thrive and survive...they need that kind of structure, and if you don't step up to be the alpha, one of your dogs will, and if they get it in their heads to do something, if you aren't the boss, then you won't be able to do a darn thing to stop them. Answer: This is truly sad .... and again it looks bad for the breed, the finger can most likely be pointed at the owner for lack of socialization/training. Yes it is important that WE remain the Alpha, however you have to remember that a home with a large amount of dogs such as mine, will have an Alpha in their pack ... thank goodness my dog's know I'm the boss momma Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.tendlife.com
