I have a friend who smacks his dog in the face! not to hard but enough so she will stop her bad behavior he does it every once in a while. its seems effective but, i dont know if thats considered cruel. his dog is a 4yrs old cattle dog mix named Banshee,

I do agree with a smack on the butt if they aren't listening to you or doing something they know they aren't supposed to be doing, but yeah like Chinniespaws said, You wouldn't smack a little kid in the face, so why would you do that to an innocent animal?
