Oh deer!!
Question: One of the moms at ebus sent these pictures. She has a friend who > found the fawn under her step (they think the doe might have > been hit by a car) ... her Ridgeback dog is helping look after it. > The family named the fawn Bella. Once she has regained her strength > (she was not in good shape when the family found her) they are > going to send her to some friends who (in the past) raised two orphan > deer and released them to the wild. Right now she is being bottle > fed. > Their dog (Hogan) has basically taken over. The fawn even > shares his bed.... Answer: Answer: That is the greatest thing that I have ever seen!!!! Answer: aww..how long was the baby there before they took it in? sometimes mom deer will put their babies somewhere they think is good while they go out and forage, i saw a great pic of a baby on a step, surrounded by cherry blossom petals...the family said they saw it out there at dawn, then a few hours later mom came and baby left with her... they are so adorable tho! Answer: but reading that again i see they said baby wasn't in good health when they found it so probably been there a while.. i hear goats make great nurse moms for fawns!
