I'm sorry, I'm not buying that. If he felt exactly the opposite, he would have found help for these poor animals before allowing them to suffer. I will never understand how/why people can do this to any animal. It's disgusting!

Just like you need a license to drive a car, people should need a license to have children, as well as own animals. If you want something bad enough you'll work for your right to have it.
