Question:
Hi everyone,

I was just wondering if anyone out there is thinking of buying or rescuing an animal in 2007. I have to add myself to this list, I rescued a stray black cat in October of 2006. I hope that counts . Oh and I bought a few fish on Boxing day.

It will be Binka's baby,,Binka lives in PEI now, hes with a girlfriend ...he never truly came around and he wanted to breed, so he went to a breeder friend and we will get a handfed/handtame baby in exchange for him

they will be given their nest box in March or April, so hopefully they have a successful clutch and one of them is a male,,,,

he will be the only addition except fish *as far as I know*
IF there will be any other additions it will be a reptile of some sort, a bearded dragon or a corn snake,...but I highly doubt that will be happening

Please God no more pets! Much as I would love to take in every animal I see, 4 cats and 2 fish tanks in a one bedroom apartment is as much as I can take right now. Although I would like to get another fish tank for in the bedroom............

I'm not planning on any more pets.. the only exception would be if the shelter got any chinchilla kits... which is highly unlikely but we seem to get more & more chinchillas every year.
I do hope to foster more this year than I did last year though.

We seem to only get pets when one seems to be found in a box or on teh road etc but if one falls upon our paths we'll see what the new year brings.. we have enough I think, lol all are rescues and there are horses, cats, dogs, rabbit, chickens etc, lol

I didn't plan it, but I got a Betta and my sister gave me her dog.
My Betta is Tiny Tim and the dog is Charlie's Angel, she's a mutt. I could start a big ol' rant about my sister and her animals (she gave me her cat a few years ago), but I won't.

Answer:
Ginia will be going to California this summer to show Hogan on the west coast and they will be coming home with a new Rat Terrier this Summer- a girl that will be called Ripley and is not concieved yet. She will be Hogan's woman- when she grows up, anyway. This has been planned since soon after we got Hogan, so feels kind of weird it is getting closer to coming true! So, 2 years from now we will be planning a litter of puppies!

And if I can manage it, there will be a new litter of hamsters- and I will be keeping at least one son of Rabbit and maybe a couple females- depending on how many creams I get. So far, Puppy has not accepted Rabbit, but I am determined not to have that line end, so she is just gonna have to give it up!


Answer:
No plans for any new pets here. We finally added our Grey to our family and that was the only planned addition.
We actually only have 2 pairs of chins together as it is, just don't want to have more than we have room to keep. Until we get a bigger place we're good where we are right now.
Though we are taking in a chin next week. Couple doesn't have the time for him anymore, they'll be delivering him here on Monday. Pretty little Ex Dark Eb male, but I don't think he'll be a permanent addition, just temporary till we find a suitable home for him.

No new pets planned here either... maybe a mouse litter or 2 from which I always keep some, but I'm actually expecting to lower my numbers, since I have a couple of elderly mice and elderly gerbils that might go this year. 8(

I do wish to get another rat, but that depends on how my sister reacts when she actually discovers Algernon (still the only one that doesn't know about him).
