When I first saw these videos on tv, I literally came out of my seat in horror. I cannot believe how cruel those men in the video could be I used to have pet chickens and I can tell you they may not be the brightest animals in the world I can tell you that they indeed have feelings like any other animal. I will be writing to this Pilgrim factory in Virginia.

I thought this was a slaughterhouse. Aren't these chickens meat for KFC restaurants? You know, near death, on the gallows. They shouldn't be tortured even though they were on their way to death.

okay here is what I got from reading and watching it... first I didnt like the torture those poor chickens were going thru!!!! the men were picking them up by the legs and slamming them against the wall.. then as they were laying on the floor.. they stomped and jumped on them....
also... its not KFC that is the actuall "problem" they just buy from these people.. it is actually Pilgrams Pride.... so its in the grocery stores also.. KFC didnt even (supposedly) know what the conditions were there.. and at least 1 employee from the place is put on suspention.. and the others are being looked at..
what I would like to know... is how in the world could a PETA person WORK in a place like that for 14 days... and actually participate in slaughtering the chickens?!?!?!

KFC cannot plead ignorance. They are responsible for knowing exactly where they get their birds from and what goes on there. They can't hide behind the 'I didn't know!' defence. It doesn't stand up to scrutiny.
I think the PETA people stayed for so long and carried out the job in the same way that other organizations have sent undercover people into labs where atrocities are commited against animals. They need to get conclusive proof. That way they can reach more people and help more chickens.

and if you look on here... it says Pilgrams Pride....... THEY are the ones that are doing the abuse... yes KFC is a purchaser.. so therefore they are part of the problem... but instead of just coming down on KFC... come down on Pilgrams Pride also!!!
Neuro... I did make the comment to Andy as soon as I heard about it that I was not going to purchase Chicken... and chicken is one of my favorite meats...
also... when I go to the grocery store I wont be buying Pilgrams Pride!!!
I hope that with what PETA did that Pilgrams Pride and KFC can "clean it up" and make it more humane...
