Goodbye Runty
Question: Last night I found Runty dead. She had been kinda skittish and acting weird the last couple of weeks. She was the only one left of my first ever litter of gerbils, and one of my favorites. The first time I saw her I thought she was dead... hidden under all the bedding and kinda purplish... then she squeaked and I realized she was alive, but had a broken arm. She was the runt of the litter, not being able to feed properly with her broken paw and I had to hand-feed her. Kuzco (dad) also helped a lot by removing Runty's siblings after they had fed enough to leave Runty free space to nurse. She continued to give me scares by sleeping in weird positions, and her gimpy paw gave her a unique personality. Here with sister Phoebe and cagemate Flo: Here in a weird sleeping position: Here with Kuzco... First ever picture I took of her: Being cute on the wheel "I don't know!" I'm going to miss her so much. Runty: February 29, 2004-March 27, 2007 Answer: awwwww she was gorgeous Padfoot!! Im so sorry for your loss Answer: I'm sorry for your loss. Answer: Thanks. Her mom, Martina, was a gerbil with an attitude, she used to be boss in her cage and poor Kuzco had to put up with her. Runty reminded me a lot of her, she was the boss in her cage. It was funny in that litter, how the one that physically looked like Martina, was similar to Martina too in her attitude, and the one that physically looked like Kuzco also was very similarto him in his attitude (very sweet and loved baby gerbils and was a great uncle to all my gerbil litters). Answer: I'm so sorry. RIP little one Answer: I'm sorry for your loss Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.tendlife.com
