I need some advice
I just finished working 2 nights and before heading off to work last night didn't notice anything different with sally(my spca chin)
This evening i took her out for a solo play and noticed she was limping and her right eyes appears slightly swollen?????????
Her middle toe has a scab on it and is quite swollen.........the surrounding area of her right eyes appears puffy as well. She is moving around and eating and drinking as before but is limping. I have no idea how it happened but wonder what i shold do about it? If anything I think perhaps some antibiotics to ward off infection right? the toe is swollen as well...........hhhhmmmmmmmm haven't got a clue what happened?

Did she maybe fall while jumping around in her cage and hurt her eye and foot? I'm sorry I can't be of more help How is she doing now, have you tried calling the vet? Could it be allergies that irritate her eyes and cause her to chew on her toe if it's itching or bothering her?

At the risk of sounding redundant, I would DEFINATELY take a trip to the vet with her as soon as you can. You don't want infection to get any worse if that's what it is. Good luck linus

Oh no! I'm sorry Heidi Maybe she got her toe stuck in the wire and kind of fell, knocking her eye? Sounds like something I would do
I agree - she should probably see a vet soon... that way you will know for sure that she's okay before things get worse. Good luck

there is no wire for her to get her toe stuck into..............it is all wodden shelving ????????????? I do have a catuc perch for her and it has small holes in it...maybe she got a toe stuck in there......she hops around and eats like she is okay.
I put some bactroban on it last night and sat with her so she wouldn't lick it off
her eye appears less swollen this am so I am going to wait till tomorrow for a vet check if she seems worse...........

My Felix broke his toe once, and I still don't know how it happened. The skin didn't break so it was only swollen.... Weird about the eye, it's not too easy to get an eye cought on something

haven't gone yet...............she is looking better and so is the toe...........her eye is less swollen as well...........i am putting bactroban on her toe every night and she is eating and drining as before and hopping around as well............
i think she is mending on her own for now
