i would like people to respond to these questions
Question: 1. What do you think of a more potable version of an out door run for small animals? 2. Why do you think there are no portable runs on the market? 3. What shape do you think the average small pet run on the market is? 4. What materials would you think would be used in a small animal run? 5. Do you think it would be practical to build a more potable small animal run? 6. What size would you expect a run of this type to be? 7. Do you think you could build a run that was easy to store or may be wall mounted? Answer: Welcome to POTN, scythe! 1. I think it is a good idea. 2. Could you give more of a description on what a portable run is? I know that petstores sell fence-like barriers that you can link up to create your own playpen. 3. Not very big, mostly round? 4. Materials that are non-toxic and not easily chewed through like stainless steel. 5. Practical how? Practical for me to build one myself or practical for you to build one and market it? 6. Depending on the small animal, if I had a fully fenced yard I'd let a rabbit go run around in there. 7. I'm not good with stuff like that, my bf probably could though! Answer: Also, we don't have a general small animal forum but I think your thread will get more traffic in the general pets area. Let me know if you have a specific reason why you'd like your thread posted in the original section and I'll move it back if necessary Answer: 1. What do you think of a more potable version of an out door run for small animals? I think it would be a great idea. 2. Why do you think there are no portable runs on the market? Probably because people don't demand such a item as much as other things. Not sure. 3. What shape do you think the average small pet run on the market is? Not sure. 4. What materials would you think would be used in a small animal run? Glazed wire and c-clips probably but I could be way off. 5. Do you think it would be practical to build a more potable small animal run? Yes. 6. What size would you expect a run of this type to be? Depends on the animal. And how many you would put in there. 7. Do you think you could build a run that was easy to store or may be wall mounted? Maybe if someone helped me, not the greatest builder LOL. Answer: How is the research going, scythe? Answer: We use portable chicken runs made of boards, PVC pipe, chicken wire, hardware cloth, with white tarp roofs. I'll take a photo if you'd like. We have small wheels on one end so they are easier to move. This way we can move them to a fresh patch of grass every day or so, and never have to clean out the pen! Our pens are quite large - 8' x 12 ', but could be made any size. For digging animals such as rabbits, a similar pen with a chicken wire floor might work. Answer: Bump! Answer: 1. I think it would be a good idea. 2. Not sure, it could be because of a low demand, little exposure, or cost of producing and shipping. 3. I think they are mostly round or square. 4. I would like something that is small spaced wire that can be easily collapsed and assembled. 5. Depending on where you live, yes. In my case, I would only be able to use the run for a few months. 6. I would expect it to be at least 3'X2' and the height would depend on the animal. For chinchillas, a top would probably be need but for guinea pigs, the sides could be a foot or two. 7. Yes, with help I could. Hope that helps!! Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.tendlife.com
