Question:
the other night when I was on my way to work.. I seen these 10 shiny things on the side of the road.. well half on and half off the road. so I slowed down.. as I got closer and realized what it was I slowed down a lot more. my lights shined on them better by this point. and it was too cute.. I seen a momma raccoon with 4 babies.. all I could think of on my way was .. ohh I hope they dont get out in the middle of the road and get squashed.. when I drove home that morning there was no indication that they had been hit.. phew!!

Aww when I do go on trips I love to see wild animals out in the woods, especially raccons they are so cute. Good thing they weren't out on the street when you were passing, and good thing there was no sign of them being hit.

I hate seeing dead animals on the road (who wouldn't ???) I saw a racoon once who had just been hit ... he was still suffering in the middle of the road I ended up crying in my car
On our trip 2 weeks ago, there was a big problem with animals running across the highways trying to escape the forest fires. Somebody had hit a bear, and on our route home we came across 2 deer
We have moose in a lot of the province, and they cause car accidents sometimes. My cousin's best friend hit a Moose and is now quadrapalegic

I hate seeing dead animals on the road.. and luckily I havent came across any that had been "just killed" I think I would freak!!!
and I think that some people actually hit the animals on purpose. I always try to avoid hitting them. so far I have been lucky to not hit any. there have been times too when I just sit in the car and think only about that poor animal and if there are animals waiting somewhere for them to come back home.

Earlier in summer there were a lot of squirrel roadkill on the residential roads. I haven't seen anything really big though.
