What Is an Ideal Home for Pets?
Question: IMHO: lots of money dedicated to the animals as a priority, no kids, lots of space, no toxic cleaning agents, low ambient noise, proximity to excellent specialized vet/s, & willingness to do what it takes to obtain the best supplies possible. Answer: I agree with you neuro, but the one thing I would change is the "no kids". I guess i am a "kid", but I am responsible for my animals. I give them love and attention, fresh food and water, supplies, I clean their cage etc. Therefore, as a "kid", my animals need me. I guess what you mean is no little children that would play rough, make noice and become a nusense to the animal. But adults can do that too. I would make sure the child or any other person knows about the animal and is willing to accept the animals needs. I would also add : Lots of Love and attention Answer: Yes. And I would add that ll the love & wishful thinking in the world do not make a good home for pets, without the other ingredients. Answer: Neuro,,you say lots of money dedicated to them,,,,,,,,,,well you seem to start alot of threads like this such as should only rich people own pets and what was everyones answer,NO but yet you have to have lots of money dedicated well you didnt have alot of money when Cubs surgery bill came up,,,,,,YOU did not have money dedicated to it your boyfriend did,,,what woud you have done if you never had your boyfirned or nobody else was willing to lend you that kind of money??/ I am just curious,,,,,, I'm not even going to comment on the kids thing and everything else,,,, Answer: Love for the animal, giving them the best care possible, And I wont comment on the rest so not to start yet another debate/argument. Answer: I would say a loving environment is the ideal home. Answer: An ideal home for a pet is one where there is a lot of love and affection. Where the pets have a good environment consisting of a high quality diet and cleanliness. Where the health of a pet is always taken seriously and the financial means to take care of the pet when it become sick or needs medical attention. As for a household with no kids, it all comes down to the parents. If the parents set a good example of how to properly take care of animals and the parents show the children how to treat the animals with care and respect, it is perfectly fine for animals to live in a household with children. Answer: Thanks Denise, that was what I was trying to get at Answer: I agree with what Denise said Answer: I don't agree with the kids statement either. If I ever had kids, there is no way that I would give my pets up. Children can be taught to take proper care of animals. I had pets all through my childhood that were mine. I cleaned their cages, fed them, gave them fresh water, etc. from the time that I was 8. I got my first chin when I was 12 and he was very well taken care of despite me being a kid. Also, having lots of money to dedicate to your pets is a nice idea but I don't think that it hinges on how happy your pet can be. When I was younger, we had two dogs and they were fed Pedigree. They lived to be 16 and 17...pretty old for large breed dogs. They lived long, happy lives where they were loved on constantly. Was it an ideal home? I think so. Could they have been fed a higher quality food? Yes, and our current family dog is being fed a good food. The thing is, there is always something bigger and better than you can give your pet. My cats are eating Innova rght now but I personally feel that Nature's Variety is better, although it's too high in fat for them right now. I think that the BARF diet would be ideal but honestly, I do not have the money to feed them that diet. So is my home less than ideal? Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.tendlife.com
