the dog got bit in my sisters apartment place in north carolina. the snake is a baby and it is black, grey and silvery. that is the description my sis gave me. if any one knows or can help me find out if it is poisonous it would be helpful. they are takin the dog to the vet along with the snake in a cotainer. pray all goes well

no it wasnt a pet snake. my sister thinks it could be a baby copper head. which are poisonous. i found a picture that fits the descriptions my sister gave me, but it is a baby black rat snake and they arent poisonous. it says though that the baby black rat is confused with a copperhead often. here is a pic. http://jajhs.kana.k12.wv.us/vwv/anim...kratsnake2.jpg

im not sure, i think there is a wound. my sister didnt really mention it. im figurin there is one. i have only seen the dog once and it was briefly a month ago. it is about 8 months old im guessin and mid size. maybe the size of a border collie.
