CBC reports on (my) Humane Society incident...

Question:
CBC radio did a report on the incident with Gizmo, a dog I was involved with while employed at the Thunder Bay & District Humane Society. Its on their website now (for a bit, anyways) and the radio spot can be heard there too (need RealPlayer to listen).

Shadow, what made the CBC do a story on your situation? It's been quite a while since it happened and they still haven't gone to court on it?

Answer:
Hi...
A reporter from CBC contacted me about a month ago after reading about the story on some other media website. She had volunteered at this humane society a couple years ago and had her own experiences out there. A dog she was playing with urinated blood, she reported it, nothing was done for the dog... etc etc. The incident with Gizmo struck a chord with her and she figured the poor care of the animals was an ongoing problem so she decided to begin investigating it. Several board members told some pretty horrific stories about whats taken place out there. The humane society can't hide their neglect any more. They get what they give, and I have absolutely no mercy for anyone who's currently associated with that place.
