Solid Gold vs. Fromm Four Star
Question: I have fed both Fromm & Solid Gold & I always thought the SG was higher quality, @ least in the cat formulas..... Answer: Do you mean the dry or wet food, Neuro? The girls are doing well on Solid Gold kibble, but their wet food formula gives Keesha the worst case of diarrhea. Answer: I have only ever fed Solid Gold as a treat/variety food, so I don't feel too qualified here, but as a staple for cats, Fromm was excellent (wet & dry). The ingredients in Fromm cat aren't as good as the Fromm 4Star for dogs, but overall it was very popular & the cats were healthy on it. For a sensitive dog, could you stick to Solid Gold kibble only? Answer: Keesha seems to do well on lamb formulas, she did good on Nutro Natural Choice Lamb and Rice, and Hund-N-Flocken is lamb with fish. Solid Gold also makes Holistique Blendz which has fish and is meant for overweight or food sensitive dogs. For Keesha's sensitivity, I'm sticking to Solid Gold kibble mostly with wet food occasionally and so far she can only tolerate Canidae wet food. I think the safest (meaning I won't wake up to diarrhea bombs ) for Keesha is to stick to kibble 90% of the time. Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.tendlife.com
