Question:

This happens in shelters everywhere, not just in Atlanta.
WARNING: GRAPHIC CONTENT

Answer:
OMG!!!!! you so could have warned me!!!! that is so sad.. Im sitting here crying... Albert didnt deserve that!!!! that is just so horrible.

Answer:
I think I am going to throw up. I should have never looked at that.

Answer:
Such a sad reality.

Answer:
OMG, you made me cry. It's so sad...we know what happens to these animals but it's so much easier if there's not a face to go with it. We got our two cats from the shelter, and I would love to get another, especially after watching that.

Answer:
Yes, it makes me glad to know we got our cat from the humane society, but I feel awful for all those other cats and dogs. I thought most shelters were no kill shelters nowadays?

Answer:
Ack, I didn't realise it needed a warning, I'm putting one now.
Sometimes, a video can speak a thousand words.

Answer:
I didn't think it was graphic at all... but then I work in a shelter and I see the reality EVERY day. I hope people see this video and learn something from it. Not just that animals are euthanized everyday needlessly but that society has caused it. In our shelter that dog wouldn't have been euthanized as we don't euthanize because we're FULL... plus they said the dog was very friendly so he'd be adoptable. I actually wanted to see the responses before you put up the warning... now some people will choose to not watch it.. Its sad yes... but its happening...

Answer:
Sometimes, I think a warning will make people want to watch it even more and I hope they do.
Like Tasha mentioned, it's easier to distance ourselves from their fate when they are nameless, faceless animals to the rest of society and I think this video will help spread the message about the situation.

Answer:
Just like Sue, I didn't find it graphic (I deal with that every day I go to work) but I was surprised that it was on a shelter's website. The management at the OHS would rather jump off a bridge before saying the "E" word in front of the public.
But at least Albert was loved and cared for in his last days, and his death was humane. A lot more pleasant than being hit by a car, left starving, etc etc.
