Eaten Foreign Objects: Woodchips (Puppy)
Question: seems like everthing to do with pippin is causing trouble. it was a normal saturday night around 10pm. we had let the boys out to go to the bathroom and all of a sudden i hear pippin squealing outside, thinking he had got caught in the fence or something i rushed outside, he was trying to have a bowel movement and couldnt get everthing out. his rectum was protruding and hard, i called the emergency clinic and rushed him there. an x-ray and an hour later we discovered he had ingested wood chips and was not having a great time digesting them. k sunday same problem except worse, luckily we were at the breeder's house ( she donned rubber gloves and lubricant and help pull everything out!!!!! luckily for pippin, all he has is a very sore bottom and inflammed digestive tract, and in the spring all yard landscaping in the back yard is going away just wanted to warn future puppy owners of the delicate problem of them eating EVERYTHING Answer: OMG! That would have scared me too! I'm glad that Pippin is okay. Answer: I am glad that Pippin is ok and I hope that never happens to him again. Answer: I am glad everything came out okay....no pun intended!! My mom's dog had a similiar problem except he ate a rope toy when he was a puppy!! They are so quick and naughty when they are puppies!! Good luck and I hope he has learned his lesson! Answer: i dont think he has learned any lessons from all this. just yesterday i go to let him in from outside and he is over by the flower bed eating wood chips. luckily he was only out for five minutes. we just supervise him very CLOSELY now when he is outside. but at least i am better prepared to help him, and not freaking out. which is good Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.tendlife.com
