Question:
I've had this guy for a week or so. Still can't get a decent picture of him! His name is Zazoo. (my co-worker named him).. He was found in a local Park. A guy was walking his dog and the dog started chasing the poor chinnie. This kind lady came to the rescue and surprisingly was able to catch him and bring him home. She called us for advice & to see if anyone had reported him lost. She brought him to the shelter and he was quite stressed there (I don't blame him, so am I!) My co-worker took him home for a week and then I took over last week. You can see his ears are kind of chewed up.. I don't know his story but he seems fairly young so probably someone bought a petstore chinnie and then got bored with him so released him into the wild! (like he'd survive long there!) I hate humans sometimes..
Anyway, here's my new friend.. (No, I'm not keeping him I'm looking for a new home for him)

Awwww....the poor little sweetheart! Doesn't it just make your blood boil when you hear of something like this happening. Imagine ....someone doing this...letting a poor chinnie loose to fend for himself.
It must have been divine intervention for that woman to be there at the right time and save his life.
Thank goodness he is in good hands now!

She was a sweet older woman that knew it was a chinchilla only b/c she saw one at the petstore once.. but other than that didn't know much about them.
