Willows kit
Question: Willow surprised me with one kit yesterday. I totally missed the birth and came in on an unhappy scene. Mom must have gotten a bit confused and had bitten off the kits one hind foot and part of her tail. The kit is a very nice healthy weight 57 grams and is very active. Already trying to climb the cage so I'm hoping she will be okay. I'm keeping the wounds clean and this morning they are already nice and dried. She seems to be able to get around almost as if nothing is wrong with her so I am praying liitle "Nub", her new nickname, will be alright and grow up to be a big healthy girl. Answer: Congrats she looks great! I'm sure her wounds will heal just fine. Maybe she was breach and that's why those parts got nibbled. It's baby central over at your house too. Carleen Answer: Yes, a good possibility she was breech. Poor baby I just feel so awful I wasn't there to help out. Answer: Congrats! What a cutie, sorry about what happened though. Answer: I'm sure you will be the best nurse little "Nub" could have, Pam. Even wounded, she is a cutie pie! Answer: "Nub" looks very cute, and I hope her wounds heal quickly and cleanly Answer: I am sorry to hear about little Nub, I am positive you will take great care of her and glad to hear she is doing good. She is a cutie. Answer: Little Nub is doing fine so far. She gets around like nothing is wrong...she is such a sweetheart! I almost cry when I look at her little tail and foot. She is such a trooper! I had a lady contact me already about wanting her once she's weaned just because of her little missing foot but I'm growing so attached to her she'll have a forever home here with me....
