...a glittered new designer breed of domestic cat,
Question: Gah. As if designer dogs werent enough to make one go crazy... designer cats. http://www.toygers.org/index.html TheTOYGERCat ...a glittered new designer breed of domestic cat, reminiscent of a toy TIGER--- Answer: If I didn't so badly disagree with the whole concept of designer animals, I would have to say, DAMN those are cute and I want one! Answer: All they have done is taken tabbies with specific markings to develop consistancy, then picked out the traits to continue breeding. These are real steps to creating a new breed. Not just taking 2 purebreds and breeding them together over and over and over getting the same mix of 'mutts'. From what little info there is they seem to be truely trying to develop a breed. And showing them to boot. However, one has got to wonder where all the 'cast off' kittens go. Same here, but some of them look like my tabby (Tiger lol) but with more orange than brown. They are cute though. Answer: I didnt like the advertising as a new designer breed. I agree with what everyone has said as well. They are beautiful, mind you what cat is not, and they are probing to show them etc. Just the advertising and they say in one of the site parts that they are new and some cats dont make it. I don't like the way they advertised it either. Answer: "Designed for apartment living" Gee. Wouldn't that make them... a cat? Really silly salespitch. Answer: As far as I'm concerned, why the heck do they need to create a new breed? There are plenty of breeds as it is, and far too many castoff cats living homeless or languishing in shelters. And I'd also like to know what happens to the castoff kittens that don't fit the bill while they're experimenting with this "new breed". Humans certainly like to f**k with nature and not worry about the consequences. Answer: Originally Posted by Banshee As far as I'm concerned, why the heck do they need to create a new breed?
