Need Chinchilla Help
Question: Hi everyone, I've come into a little bit of a pit for the holidays. My father gave me a Chinchilla for an early Christmas present, without considering at all to ask me. I know nothing about this little critter, and really have no desire to have one! I am a full time student, and I work part time. I'm home for a total of about 6 hours every day, and I use those to sleep and shower (if I'm lucky). My father travels a lot, and is already gone so unfortunatly I can't ask him to rehome her. I really don't want to give her up to the humane society, since they don't have a lot of personal time for their animals. Are there such things as Chinchilla rescues? I live in Chicago, and if anyone here could help direct me to a rescue I could work with I would really appreciate the help. As of now she is in a Martin's R-695 cage with the actual levels cut out, so she can jump from balcony to balcony. I would like to rehome her as soon as I can find someone who will take her. I mean, she will just be in her cage all day and will not have time to come out. I feel horrible the longer she will be with me. She has been here for two days now. Can anyone recommend reputable rescues near Chicago who may be able to help me out? Thank you, - Holly Answer: Where exactly in Chicago are you? I can take her,and work with her on socialization etc. but she cannot stay with me forever because I already have two chins and several other animals. I have rehome dozens of chins to perfect forever homes. email me Riddick778@yahoo.com Answer: Let us know how this goes. I'm sorry to hear that you can't keep her, Holly, but kudos for making sure her she gets a great home Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.tendlife.com
