Poor Alex (not really!)

Question:
I guess you had to be there to really appreciate this, but....
Alex's big thrill these days is to run out into the hallway as soon as my front door is open. I have given up trying to stop him!! Now I allow him out as a treat when I take out the garbage. My biggest fear is that the elevator door will be open and I'll lose him.
However, tonight might have put a crimp in his style....I was taking the garbage out, and called him to come and he went galloping out. My door is in a corner, and you can't see into the main hallway - he went out and I heard a small scream, and he came racing back in!! There was an older lady waiting for the elevator - I don't know who was more scared, Alex or the lady! It was so hard not to laugh out loud! Now he is being a big sucky baby.

Answer:
That's cute.. I used to let my cats out into the hallway when I lived in a building.. now that I live in a row-type place that goes straight outside I'm a bit paranoid that they'll run out.. so far they aren't interested though..

Answer:
That does sound funny, I would have loved to have seen that. My cat the momma one loves to escape out the front door, she hasn't gotten out yet lol

Answer:
Sounds like Alex likes his hallway visits...until now.

Answer:
Did his tail go all puffy? That cracks me up entirely when Aoife and Isobel get a fright and their tail suddenly doubles in size!

Answer:
LOL I know what you mean! Actually I didn't have time to notice - all I saw was a black blur running into my apartment, and I spent time with the lady making sure she wasn't going to stroke out By the time I got back in he was just embarrassed (sp?) and just wanted to cuddle. Big Baby

Answer:
Black blur... I know what you mean - I have orange blurs. Brucie loves his hallway visits, as well. I used to let him go walkies in the hallway every morning when I was leaving for work. He'd just go out into the hallway, walk about halfway up then stop and wait for me to scoop him up and put him back inside. Poor wee guy though - I've been running late for the last couple of weeks and he hasn't gotten his 'walkies'. Funny - he loves people but if he hears someone coming whilst he's in the hallway he bolts for the apartment. No puffy tail, though -- he hasn't got enough of a tail for it to get puffy!

Answer:
Silly Kitty! What did the lady say? I hope she's not an anti-cat person!

Answer:
Love the bottle brush tail! I remember when BB discovered her reflection in the patio glass door at night and got all bent out of shape about herself Silly kitties!

Answer:
Bottle brush tail! Exactly!!
