Littermaid Litter Box
Question: Hello all Just wondering if anyone has one or knows someone who has one, or one of the similiar brands. I am interested in possibly getting one...but want to make sure it is not one of those wonderful things you see on tv, then get it and it doesn't work!! Thanks for your input! Answer: Is that the one that rakes the litter and scoops the poop into an awaiting baggy? My parents cat Ashes hated it so much she wouldn't use the litter pan. They returned it. Went back to the regular pan. Answer: I have heard that the noise of the motor starting can freak some cats out and they get scared of the box. We have never tried one here. Answer: Yes that is the automatic one that scoops the poop and pee. That is what I was worried about...I had this image too of the cat nicely getting situated to do its business when the rack starts up!! lol That would be all I would need is for my cats to stop using the litterbox! Thanks for you input! Shannon Answer: I've had one since early this year. I LOVE it. The cats don't care about the noise it makes either. You just have to be careful about what scoopable litter you put in it, as cheaper stuff gums it all up. I use Nature's Miracle scoopable cat litter in it. It's made out of tiny little corn cob granules and is light enough that it doesn't clog the machine. Answer: Also, there is an sensor "eye" in the machine. The machine won't start if they eye sees movement. 10 minutes after the last movement, it will start. If before that 10 minutes is up it sees more movement, the 10 minute wait restarts from that. Answer: I was going to say it does have the sensor. But the sound and just the 'feel' of the pan I guess didn't attract Ashes to use it and she was pooping on the mat in front of it.
