Question:
Well, I've been gone from this forum for awhile - so long so that my username was deleted!

Anyway, here's a quick update on my chocolate chinchilla Secret.

First, she's in the best of health and spirits. She's matured into an amazing little cuddle beastie. She loves to be snuggled and pet. She loves strangers and always manages to win over the hearts of those who meet her with her utter cuteness.

Now, she's recently picked up an interesting... mannerism. She's begun using a stainless steel dish as her toilet. Now, this will speak a bit of her personality - there was a weekend where I had to be out of town for a night and thus didn't pay attention to her or update her food (she had plenty although, apparently, it wasn't good enough for her). When I came back I discovered that she had peed in her food dish.

I rolled my eyes at her (as she was begging on top of the cage to be cuddled) as I took it out and cleaned it then gave her fresh food. Well, a few days later, she did it again (apparently I was ignoring her to too long). Again, she get the dish cleaned and new food. She began to this regularly and after a couple weeks of it - I gave in and bought her a second food dish that I placed on another shelf.

Now she uses the new food dish as her food dish and her old one as her toilet. I have to admit it has made cleaning her cage a lot easier. She doesn't _always_ use it but she does about 90% of the time. She literally squats on the dish and pees away. I dunno, I never thought I'd have a toilet trained chinchilla who actually uses a toilet.

Anyway, I've attached a couple pictures of her taken today (alright one was taken about fifteen minutes ago).

I'm not caring for Taboo anymore - she went home with Rincewind. Trying to remember the usernames here.

Rincewind and I split up over the summer. So, unfortunately, I cannot answer the question on how the rest of the furries are doing - I can only attest to my own who is one lovely and weird chinchilla.
