My Christmas Kits
Question: On Dec. 23 my Brown velevt Marissa, from South Island Chinchillas, gave birth to a famela br. velvet and a standard male. She has given me some awesome kits in the past, and as always with out a hitch. Weighing 56 & 57 grams Answer: I also had a birth that didn't go so well. From a female I was dubious about but wanted to try her, because of her coat, and personality. She seems to be to small though she passed the thumb test, and these two looked to be breach though I didn't see the birth. One was tore up from the bottom to the belly, while the survivor has no tail. She is doing well with him though. He was only 44 grams, but is a little doll. I do have pics of the other if anyone is interested in seeing the sad side. Especially if your now thinking of breeding, I'll email to you. Answer: I'm so sorry to hear about the bad birth, but pleased that you had another good one! Answer: As you so aptly describe, breeding has its ups and downs. Congratulations on the healthy kits, though. Answer: Congrats on the new arrivals Debbie, they look great. Sorry about the difficult one though and losing a kit. Carleen Answer: Congrats on your new kits! And sorry to hear about the one loss. Hopefully the little one with no tail will be okay. I had a tough breach a while back but my little tan girl with the missing back foot and part of her tail gone is doing great! To see her climb around you'd never no she has anything wrong with her now! Answer: Congratulations! Answer: Congrats, Debbie. Marissa is beautiful! I'm sure that her daughter is going to be a stunner too. I'm sorry to hear about the difficult birth. Answer: aww,,Im so sorry to hear about the difficult delivery *hugs to you and mama chin* but Im glad one went well and those babies are oh so sweet Answer: Congrats Debbie!
