Need health questions answered
Question: Does anyone know of a vet that is familiar with chins. We have inherited an older chin. In the last few weeks he has developed a wet/matted fur on his belly. It has also now moved to his eyes. I have searched the web and other than the eyes which look good, just wet fur around them, I can't locate any reference to having a a sometimes wet and now mostly just matted fur on the belly. The previous owners who had him for 7-8 years never needed a vet and they also inherited him, so don't really no it's age. Please help us..we are very attached already to this lovely little critter. Susan Answer: Susan, it sounds like teeth problems. Where are you located? Answer: Yes it does to me too. he may be drooling down over himself. Had one here soak her whole front then cleaned all the fur off. She loosened a tooth, and gets stuff caught in between causing gum disease. She drools much worse than the other who gets spurs and points. I would say he needs a trim and a good cleaning. How is he eating? Answer: I agree it does sound like teeth problems. He defintely needs to see a vet. Carleen Answer: She is in London, Ontario...can anyone help with a good vet?
