Question:
Fidget is an active, friendly chinchilla I’ve had him for almost 5 years He’s a rescue. When I got him most of his fur had been chewed off(Basically any thing he could reach had been chewed ) I Put him in a HUGE cage, he has toy up the butt, he gets 12 hours of complete silence each day, He’s feed premium food, he’s been treated for mite and the like and gets 2 hours of play time out side of his cage. But He is still chewing every hair he can reach. Its not bald he has his under coat. IS THERE ANY THING ELSE I SHOULD TRY?

I have one chronic fur chewer. I tried the bigger cage, different food, different dustbath, various supplements, wheels and other toys and nothing has worked. His daddy doesn't chew and his mom chewed twice when under stress from having the kits and one other period for a month.
Sounds like Fidget is a lot like my bald chin....obsessive about it.
