My chin has a bald tail any advice?

Question:
Hello everyone, it's been awhile since I've posted, so busy with everything life's been throwing at me. But tonight, my husband pointed out Gizmo, our white chin has a bald tail. The tip of her tail is nice and pink and bald!?! I am upset with myself since I didn't see her picking at it. It doesn't look infected and she doesn't seem sick. Is it normal for chins to pick at their fur? Could it be some sort of infection/illness? I'm so confused, any advice you can share is greatly appreciated.

Answer:
Could be the fur just got stuck somewhere (tight spot in the cage, or inside a cagemates mouth, whatever) and she pulled herself free. If the skin is normal and healthy looking, she's probably fine and it'll grow back soon.

Answer:
It is most likely fur chewing or fungus. I would definitely see a vet to rule out fungus because it can be difficult to get rid of and quite contagious.

Answer:
Yes, I would definitely seek the advice of a vet. That way you know for sure if it is something serious.

Answer:
do you have a picture?

Answer:
If it's fur chewing then she's upset about something. Have you been changed her routine at all? Does she have enough chew toys, lava rock, untreated wood? Are her poops normal? Is she eating and drinking? All things to look for. Is she caged with the other two, and maybe one or both are picking on her?
