Ok I posted just a little while back about my new kit born to Zoey(blk vlvt) and Charlie ( hetero beige) I was sure at birth its face was darker than its body. Well OK. I keep looking at the kit thinking...no no it's beige. Well now I have still been looking and I'm just not sure. Its face is still quite dark. I have never had a brn vlvt kit before and wonder if it will just get darker with age. I also noticed that it has paw striping. Well I guess only time will tell...lol...Will post more pics of her soon. Whatever she is , she is a cutey....Ad i thought I'd know it if i had a brn vlvt right away...lol

Looks brown velvet to me! I had a brown velvet kit before that full veiling did not appear till weeks after birth. So yep they do darken with age! So you'll know for sure by the time she is a month or two old.
Also one of my girls did not look TOV when she was born at her breeders but she also developped the velvet as she got older and is a TOV Homo Beige. I guess some are late bloomers...lol

The paw stripes make me think brown velvet, only because my brown velvet showed no mask until 8 weeks of age but had distinct paw stripes. She's cute, regardless!

Thnaks for all the input I am hoping she is. I guess I will keep my fingers crossed as she does look different then the other beige kits I have had. I'd love to keep her if she is brn vlvt. Anyhow, I wil post more pics as she grows.....................................Suzan
