They were just lying around not caring how filthy dirty they were, like this:
What a lady! Seriously though, I think Aoife was in her private retreat (under the bed in the spare room) and Isobel was snoozing on the sofa beside me.

It was weird - it was last Sunday and I was sitting on the sofa watching East Enders and it seemed that everywhere I looked there was a cat having a bath

Answer:
I like how teeny little Dougal claimed the big bed.

Answer:
I know! It's odd - Hamish almost always goes for the small bed whilst the smaller cats prefer the large one. It's a good job Hamish is on his diet - if he got any bigger he would be oozing out over the sides of the bed

Answer:
They look wonderful and healthy and they all have such fluffy, shiny coats!

Answer:
That's funny.. My dogs do the same thing.. Montana squeezes her body into the smallest bed while Koko sleeps in the larger one. I even caught Montana laying in (or on top of) Koko's bed which is really meant for rabbits & guinea pigs! Animals are so strange!

Answer:
They do look healthy and content. Great pics!

Answer:
Thank you everyone Hamish is a bit too ... um ... healthy. He's borderline obese, actually - my own stupid fault and I'm mortified I didn't notice how big he was getting. He's on a strict diet, though, and is losing weight. When my vet did the annual checkups for Bruce, Isobel and Aoife she was amazed at how soft their coats are. That's the Natura Innova foods, I think. That stuff is great

Sue, I don't know why cats and dogs try to cram themselves into such small places. Have you seen this old photo of Hamish?

Answer:
Love that one!
