scratching
Question: My kitty is kinda crazy.. this I know. lol But i cant figure out for the life of me why he does this... He sometimes...actually quite frequently will scratch his claws repeatedly against a hard surface...like the side of the washer/dryer, the inside of the bathtub, or against the glass of a window. He dosen't have a real bad scratching problem as far as furniture, carpet or other things like that since I have a kitty scratching post for him (which he uses all the time). I was just wondering if anyone else has a cat that does this, and if anyone knows why? Answer: Our cats, even Simon who we rescued and was already de-clawed did/do this. I think I read somewhere that they have scent pads on the paws and this is their way of marking their territory. Not all scratching is related to their nails. Answer: My cat does that too. Her favorite place seems to be the door frame in our bedroom. Answer: We call this wacky paws. Mouse does it all the time- usually somewhere she can see her refl;ection- mirror, window, front of the oven, 3 liter bottle of soda- swish swish swish watch the kitty go swish swish swish. 30 straight minutes or more. She's loopy, though. Answer: Why do cats do anything they do?? Just because... Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.tendlife.com
