Fostering Kittens/Cats 3
Question: These 2 came with the names 'Glacier' & 'Camel'.. the litter was transfered to our shelter from a smaller shelter and someone there named them. Glacier is the white one. They were scared of the dogs but seem a bit less frightened today. They aren't eating very much though.. I've opened 3 cans of food (different brands) and finally got them eating! Answer: Awwwwww they are just so adorable !!! Scott started his rotation in the humane society ( wants to be a vet tech) and was telling me about a puppy they worked with, I wasn't even there and I wanted to take her home to you Sue for everything you do with each and every foster Answer: Another couple of cuties! I can see Glacier, but why would they call the other one Camel? Unless you meant Caramel? LOL Are they well, or do they have any health issues? Answer: Adorable kitties!! Answer: Mollymitten, I have no idea what they were thinking when they named these guys! There was also 'Pyramid' and 'Desert'.. I think they had a theme going but where Glacier fits into the desert them I don't know.. They are quite thin and too young to put up for adoption but so far they seem healthy enough.. Answer: Very adorable. I don't know how you don't keep them all! Answer: Sue, How are the cute kitties doing? Red Answer: They are doing very well.. I've had them for 2 weeks so they are now old enough for adoptions. They are due for their 2nd vaccine tomorrow so I will likely keep them here until next Tuesday to build up their immunity and then take them back after my 3 day weekend off. Answer: I'm taking Carter (formerly Camel) to work tomorrow to get neutered. Glacier was lethargic & vomited a few times last week... so I have decided to keep him for another week to monitor him & make sure all is well before subjecting him to surgery. Once they become available for adoption they will go very quickly as we don't have many kittens right now.. Answer: Sue, Im not sure if you've ever read this but I thought of you when i read it Fostering There I sat, alone and afraid, You got a call and came right to my aid. You bundled me up with blankets and love. And, when I needed it most, you gave me a hug. I learned that the world was not all that scary and cold. That sometimes there is someone to have and to hold. You taught me what love is, you helped me to mend. You loved me and healed me and became my first friend. And just when I thought you'd done all you do, There came along not one new lesson, but two. First you said, "Sweetheart, you're ready to go. I've done all I can, and you've learned all I know." Then you bundled me up with a blanket and kiss. Along came a new family, they even have kids! They took me to their home, forever to stay. At first I thought you sent me away. Then that second lesson became perfectly clear. No matter how far, you will always be near. And so, Foster Mom, you know I've moved on. I have a new home, with toys and a lawn. But I'll never forget what I learned that first day. You never really give your fosters away. You gave me these thoughts to remember you by. We may never meet again, and now I know why. You'll remember I lived with you for a time. I may not be yours, but you'll always be mine Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.tendlife.com
