Worse day of my life!

Question:
Today was awful! I had the most horrible thing happen! My sweet baby chin got his foot caught in the shelf and was hanging! My fiance cane home from work this morning and went in to check on them and saw the poor screaming guy! He quickly unhooked him and rushed him to the vet. Unfortunatly our vet was not there and the other vet is not chin knowledgable. So now we have to take him back tomorrw. I hope he's alright. It's quite swollen and he won't put weight on it, but he's very active and acting like himself otherwise. He lost some weight though too. It's all my fault! I thought they were big enough now to have the shelf back, but obviously I was totally wrong!!! How stupid am I? I could have killed him!!! I'll never forgive myself for making such a huge mistake... I hope he's ok......

Answer:
Ahhh...it's not your fault. Blaming yourself won't help anything. You're doing everything that you can for him now and that's all that matters.
I hope that his foot gets better soon.

Answer:
Oh no, poor little guy! Glad to hear that he's being active and acting like his normal self. That's an excellent sign. I'm sure the vet will be able to take care of him tomorrow and he'll be spazzing around again before you know it.

Answer:
Thanks guys! I'll hate myself if anythings seriuosly wrong with him. Hopefully all he needs is rest. I just hope he wasn't hanging too long....

Answer:
Chin babies are remarkable and resilient. Is the bone broken?

Answer:
Im sure he will be okay... and you totally cannot blame your self for it!!! let us know what the vet says tomorrow..

Answer:
Is the bone broken?
I don't think so...but it's hard to tell. Not an obvious break if it is. I just hope tomorrow comes quickly so the vet can see him.
let us know what the vet says tomorrow..

Answer:
Don't be so hard on yourself, Lixx!! It wasn't your fault, and i'm sure he'll be fine! You're doing everything you can, so don't feel so bad!!

Answer:
I'm sorry to hear that, Lixx, but we can't be protective forever! Hopefully he will be just fine (as young babies often are, regardless of species ) and will have learned a lesson (don't get caught in shelves!)
Seriously, though, I'm sure he will be ok!

Answer:
Thanks guys
