Question about Vitamin C Tablets

Question:
Since reading that some people give their chins vitamin c tablets, I decided to pick some up. I just want to make sure that the ingredients check out okay because I'm not sure about some of them...
I picked up some Chewable Orange flavoured tablets 250 mg (I meant to pick up 100 mg, but I got the 250 by accident...so I might return them rather than break them in two...)
Here are the Non-medicinal ingredients:
Sorbitol, Magnesium Stearate, Calcium Cyclamate, Natural Orange Flavour, Corn Starch, FD&C Yellow#6, Aspartame (is this okay???), Acerola, Hesperidin Complex, Lemon Biflavonoid, Orange Peel, Rutin, and Rose HIps Extract.

Answer:
I am going to be honest with you and tell you I don't like the ingredients. Artificial dye isn't a good thing and I wouldn't suggest giving a chinchilla that has Aspartame in it. There has to be an all natural Vitamin C on the market.

Answer:
Thanks Denise! That's exactly what I was thinking. The aspartame is what really concerned me, but I'm guessing that it's in a lot of chewable tablets to help make them "tasty". I think that I'll probably return them...

Answer:
Go to Great Ocean or the Superstore. Natural Factors makes awesome chewable all natural vitamin C in assorted flavours that would be chinnie-friendly. Also Sisu Ester C but get the tablets not the capsules. Ester C is the best assimilated form of vitamin C out there.

Answer:
I was just going to suggest Natural Factors but Neuro beat me to it.

Answer:
Doesn't Oxbow, have a vitamin C tablet they made? I'm just curious!

Answer:
Oh cool! I just checked their site and they do have a product.

Answer:
Thanks Candice, I knew they had something!!

Answer:
Thanks again. Maybe I'll check out Natural Factors...I would rather give him rosehips for vitamin C though, so maybe I'll try harder to find some...

Answer:
Chinchilla Cocktail has *tons* of rosehips in it, & I know you just got some......
